JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (CCS-TV) — Amanda Case, a survivor of domestic violence and advocate for awareness, joined CCS-TV Community Conversation to share her story and discuss how communities can support children affected by violence at home.

Case, whose mother was killed in a domestic violence incident when she was young, recounted her own experiences growing up in the aftermath. Her story has become a beacon of hope and a call to action for supporting families impacted by domestic violence.

In the interview, Case discussed the emotional struggles kids face in violent homes, especially the fear and uncertainty that can prevent them from seeking help. Case emphasized the critical role that community support plays for young survivors. Events like Unity Day and the Walk Against Domestic Violence, held annually in Jamestown, aim to create awareness and foster a supportive environment.
