CELORON, N.Y. (CCS-TV) — A night where art meets heart is coming to the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel on Dec. 4, when world-renowned performance artist Michael Israel takes the stage for “Colors of Courage,” a live art show to benefit local families battling cancer.
Israel, known for his high-energy performances that combine music, movement, and painting, will create large-scale artworks live on stage in a performance often described as “Cirque du Soleil meets Picasso.” Each piece will be auctioned immediately following the show, with proceeds supporting Kallie’s Krusade, the Italian American Charity Golf Association, and local families affected by cancer.
The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and silent auction before Israel’s headline performance and live art auction.
“I’m honored to be part of this meaningful event that brings our community together in support of those fighting cancer,” said Chautauqua County Executive PJ Wendel. “Through the dedication of Kallie’s Krusade, the Italian American Charity Golf Association, and so many generous partners, we’re helping families find hope and strength when they need it most.”
Israel has performed for U.S. presidents, celebrities, and major corporations, raising millions for more than 100 charities worldwide. His dynamic shows — which merge fine art, martial arts, and music — have appeared on global stages from Washington, D.C. galas to the Olympic Medals Stage in Salt Lake City.
Among his notable works, Israel once painted a portrait of Warren Buffett that sold for $100,000 to benefit Girls Inc. of Omaha. Individual paintings have sold for as much as $250,000, supporting organizations such as Special Olympics, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and the All-Star Children’s Foundation.
“Michael’s work is more than performance — it’s a movement of hope, courage, and compassion,” said Tara Warren, co-founder of Kallie’s Krusade. “Having him join us in Chautauqua County is an incredible honor and an unforgettable way to help families facing unimaginable challenges.”
David Munella, chairman of the Italian American Charity Golf Association, said the event continues the organization’s mission to support local cancer care.
“Our mission has always been to ensure the fight against cancer continues locally, where it matters most,” Munella said. “Partnering with Kallie’s Krusade and Michael Israel allows us to amplify that impact in a powerful, emotional way.”
The Italian American Charity Golf Association has long partnered with the Hillman Cancer Treatment Center and local hospice organizations, and has established a yearly endowment and scholarship fund to benefit area families affected by cancer.
Colors of Courage featuring Michael Israel will take place Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel, 10 Dunham Ave., Celoron, N.Y.
