CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, NY (CCS-TV) — Outdoor enthusiasts in Chautauqua County now have a valuable new resource to enhance their adventures.

The Chautauqua County Partnership for Economic Growth, in collaboration with county government and Friends of the Chautauqua County Greenways, has launched the Chautauqua County Interactive Trails Map and mobile application. This comprehensive tool, available at CHQTrails.org, provides detailed information on hundreds of miles of trails throughout the county.

The county’s trail coordinator highlights that the interactive map addresses the increased demand for trail information, a trend that surged during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Users can explore trails tailored to various activities such as hiking, biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, and kayaking. The map offers essential details on trail surfaces, lengths, parking availability, and points of interest, ensuring that adventurers can plan their outings with ease.

The mobile application features real-time GPS tracking, enabling users to navigate trails even in areas with limited cell reception. Additionally, county trail maps are accessible on third-party apps, providing further convenience for outdoor enthusiasts.
