JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – Registration is now open for floats, community groups, businesses, and organizations to participate in Jamestown’s 2nd Annual Jingle and Mingle Winter Festival and Gingerbread & Candy Land Holiday Parade, one of the city’s most anticipated holiday traditions.
The celebration, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7 at Jamestown City Hall (200 E 3rd St, Jamestown, NY) promises a day of seasonal festivities, family-friendly fun, and community spirit. Those interested in joining the parade can sign up online at: form.jotform.com/242847564371060.
Festivities will take place from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., with activities including horse and carriage rides, meet-and-greet sessions with favorite holiday characters, and a special performance by Buffalo-based magician Nick Manbretti at the Jackson Center. The band Party McFly will bring live music from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., setting the stage for the evening’s main event.
The parade, which kicks off at 6 p.m. on Third Street, will be led by the Jamestown High School band and feature more than 100 floats decorated in the theme “Gingerbread & Candy Land,” as they make their way toward City Hall.
In the spirit of tradition, Jamestown will also honor a special community member as this year’s Grand Marshal, with details to be announced in the coming weeks. This annual event, now a signature of the holiday season in Jamestown, brings residents and visitors together to celebrate the community’s spirit and holiday cheer, capped by the iconic tree lighting and a dazzling fireworks display.
For those unable to attend in person, CCS-TV will broadcast the parade live starting at 6 p.m. on CCS-TV.com, Roku, YouTube, and the CCS-TV mobile app. The app is available for download on Apple App Store and Google Play Store by searching “CCS-TV.”
