JAMESTOWN, NY (CCS-TV) — The City of Jamestown has once again joined forces with Collaborative Children’s Solutions to host this year’s anticipated ‘Turn the River Green’ celebration, marking the arrival of St. Patrick’s Day with flair and festivity. This long-standing tradition has become a cornerstone event, uniting the community in a day of jubilant merrymaking along the banks of the Chadakoin River.

For over two decades, Jamestown has woven magic into its landscape by transforming the tranquil waters of the Chadakoin River into a dazzling emerald spectacle, and this year promises to uphold that enchanting legacy. Families and revelers alike are cordially invited to partake in the festivities at the Jamestown Riverwalk, commencing at 10 AM on Saturday, March 16th.

Anticipated highlights of the celebration include:

– The ceremonious dyeing of the Chadakoin River, as its currents take on the vibrant hue of Irish green.
– A plethora of children’s activities and entertainment await attendees in the nearby JAMA parking lot, featuring an array of delights such as face painting, crafts, games, and more.
– The air will be filled with the harmonious strains of live music, punctuated by the rhythmic cadence of Irish dance performances, and punctuated by the delightful presence of Lucky the Leprechaun.

“We are thrilled to once again collaborate with the City of Jamestown in bringing forth the ‘Turn the River Green’ celebration to our cherished community,” expressed Patrick Smeraldo, Owner of Collaborative Children’s Solutions. “This event has woven itself into the fabric of our traditions, and we eagerly anticipate commemorating St. Patrick’s Day alongside residents and visitors alike.”
