JAMESTOWN, NY (CCS-TV) — Collaborative Children’s Solutions (CCS) has announced its extended role in organizing key community events in Jamestown through 2027, following approval by the City of Jamestown. The partnership, which has brought various community events to life over the past few years, ensures CCS will continue as the lead organizer for major city events, continuing with this year’s Christmas Parade on December 7, 2024.
The City of Jamestown has announced a continued partnership with Collaborative Children’s Solutions (CCS) to organize and oversee key community events through 2027. This collaboration, which has been instrumental in bringing various activities to life in Jamestown over the past few years, was solidified for an additional three years, with CCS now serving as the lead organizer for major city events.
Patrick Smeraldo, CCS owner, and Mayor Kimberly Ecklund shared the exciting news in a recent interview. The extended partnership will officially kick off with the highly anticipated Christmas Parade on December 7, 2024, and will continue to bring back beloved events such as “Turn the River Green,” the Memorial Day Parade, Christmas in July, Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tournament, Labor Day celebrations, and the Winter Festival.
During the announcement, Smeraldo expressed gratitude for the city’s trust in CCS to continue leading these events. “It’s an honor to have this opportunity, and it means so much for the kids and the community,” he said, emphasizing how critical it is to work with city departments like the police, fire, parks, and public works. “We do everything with the kids in mind.”
Mayor Ecklund echoed these sentiments, praising CCS’s efforts in making these events successful. “It’s great to have a partner like CCS that brings not just organization but a true passion for the community,” Ecklund stated. She noted that this partnership allows CCS to bring in sponsorships and participation from community organizations, which the city, as a government entity, couldn’t achieve on its own.
The partnership aims to enhance existing events and create new opportunities for community engagement. According to Smeraldo, planning for the holiday season is already underway, with eager calls from residents wanting to register for the Christmas Parade.
Both Smeraldo and Ecklund expressed excitement about the future of these events, hinting that more surprises and expansions could be on the horizon for Jamestown. As the partnership continues, the city looks forward to growing community involvement and creating memorable experiences for residents, especially the younger generation.
